What about making a new blending mode called 'clippingmask'
It works like the erase blending mode, but only on the first layer beneath it. Does it make sense? Would it be possible?

If I open a previous saved project, It always opens of first frame of first Clip. I would like that the current clip and current frame is saved when saving a project.
