Toggle between recent brushes

hey there!
I am aware of a great shortcut - SHIFT+E- this shortcut toggles between current brush to previous brush
BUT
I feel that it would really really help if it was possible to switch to more than 1 previously used brush.
perhaps a shortcut that will pop up the "show last used tools" window? or something like that.
