Mint Linux is Debian-based, so hopefully the Debian/Ubuntu version will work on it. I am not surprised the dongle doesn't work through Wine, though. You are better off using the native Linux version now!

Mint 11 est basée sur ubuntu (la 11.04)... mais dès que je peux j'irai télécharger la version linux.
Pour ce qui est du code il s'agit bien de la clef du dongle ?

Your current dongle should work just fine, mine does! There is a simple installer (shell script) for the Sentinel library. It worked on my UbuntuStudio 11.04 without any trouble.

The Sentinel installer is bundled with the TVPaint Linux download, it installs a kernel USB driver for Sentinel. You run the Sentinel installer first then install the .deb package using dpkg (you may need to install any missing dependencies, dpkg will tell you what they are). Then just insert the dongle and run TVP (it will be under the Graphics menu if you use Gnome).

You don't need to use dpkg to install TVP Animation or Sentinel drivers.

Just double click on the TVP Animation .deb package, and it will automatically install all dependencies. Then just double click on the "Sentinel_install" script and run it to install automatically Sentinel drivers.

Yeah, you can do it that way, too... I'm a command-line junkie and forget people can use the GUI instead :-)

Yes, command-line is better when you know how it works...

But we must take care of the GUI users :D

Hi Linux users,

As I announced few days ago, the rpm version of TVP Animation 9.5 is now available. :D

Here is the list of known Linux distributions on which it will work fine :D :

Ubuntu 10.04 +
Debian 6
Fedora 14+
RedHat Entrprise Linux 5/6

If you download the rpm version of TVP Animation 9.5, please read the readme file. There are some things to do before installing.
