I clarify something : people who plan to use Linux but want to take advantage of the current promo code can purchase now and will receive/download the official Linux version as soon it will be available =)

Hello,
Thank you for this news !

Bonjour,

Will those with an existing TVPaint license be able to use the Linux version, or will that require a separate purchase?

No problem, you will just have to download it and you can use it.
Reminder: linux exists only as a Pro version right now, so you need to have a Pro version on win or mac.
Quicktime is DEAD. Get over it and move on !

Hi Linux users,

I'm Eric SCHOLL, in charge of the Linux development of the TVPaint products.

For now, we are working on the deployment of the softwares builds on our servers, and we are modifying the software to have access to the online updates.
It's requiring time because we are working on three levels : servers, website and software.

So the official release should be available for Tuesday 5th July 2011.

This version will be available in 2 versions : deb package for Debian/Ubuntu, and rpm package for RedHat/Fedora. Also 32 and 64 bits. (64 bits : only Linux :) at the moment !)

Hi Linux users,

We're glad to announce to you that the Linux version of TVP Animation has been released on the website today.

For the moment only the Debian package version is available. But don't worry, the RedHat package version should follow soon :) .
TVP Animation is fully usable on Ubuntu 10.10 and over. If you have an older version of Ubuntu, TVP Animation will be usable, but some problems will occur when you try to import video files.

Sorry for the wait and enjoy ! :)

An internal error [1347] occurs, please try again.

Mmmhhh, I will try to make a supposition, but do you use your old lockcode to download the version ? :)

The Linux version is only available with a lockcode corresponding to TVP Animation 9 Pro.

Bonjour,
