Hello TVPaint users,
I thought since the extremely useful chromatic wheel has been introduced to TVPaint, Thanks to TVPaint Development team, it will be great to share any knowledge about using this tool.
I found this link from artist Aaron Rutten: Color Theory For Digital Artists
Learn how to correctly choose colors using the color picker by examining Color Theory. Aaron Rutten breaks down the wheel color options and reveals how to achieve more interesting shading effects by making decisive color selections.
Part 1: focuses on the Hue Ring of the Color Picker. The Hue Ring in Painter serves as a color wheel and makes it easy to find complimentary colors. You'll also learn why shifting the hue is important to achieving realistic color and shading.
Part 2: focuses on the color picker triangle which controls the value and saturation of a color. You'll learn how to quickly choose the right colors without having to guess.
and if you notice the video discusses the colour theory in HSV terminology, a tiny tip when using TVPaint Chromatic wheel is to click or right click on the lower panel under the wheel to alternate between colours value in RGB
HSV
and HEX
Right clicking on the wheel itself gives you more colour theory options

Nice post.
This video also makes it clear why we want tvpaint to have the sliders available together with the chromatic wheel.
