'Always Show by Default Layer Thumbnail' Option is invalidated when merging layers.

Post by ini »

Preferences > Disply > Layer Thumnails > Always Show by Default

I unchecked this option to use TVP with light environment.
There is no ploblem with making new layers or normal situation,
but merged layers are always showing the all of tumbs even if all of unmerged-layers were not showing the tumbs.

The first request is that the Mergeing-behavior is controled by the option.
(If 'Always Show by Default' is un-checked, merged layer have not to be show the thumnails.)

and, one more about the Thumnails
in recently, 'Put X Mark on Empty Instances' option was generated.
but if I turn off the thumbnails, right now ,that layer is not showing the 'X mark on Empty Instance'

I hope that two option can make four situation.

Hello ini,

I have made some tests and was able to replicate both behaviours:
-Merging layers will always show the resulting layer's thumbnails even if this option is disabled
-There is a conflict between the thumbnails' 'Always Show By Default' option and both the 'Differentiate Empty Instances' and 'Put an X Mark on Empty Instances' options. When the 'Always Show By Default' option is turned off, you won't be able to differentiate empty instances at all.

I have logged those bugs in our tracker, thank you for noticing this.
