Hiroshima Festival - 2016

Post by Elodie »

Dear Friends,

On behalf of Hiroshima International Animation Festival, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to your kind and continuing support to our festival.

We are pleased to announce that the 16th International Animation Festival in Japan – HIROSHIMA 2016 will be held from August 18th to 22nd next summer, co-organized by the City of Hiroshima and ASIFA-Japan.
Thanks to your kind cooperation, our festival has continued to be held biennially as the only festival in Asia endorsed by ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d’Animation) since the 1st edition HIROSHIMA 1985.

With the history which we have built together with you hand-in-hand for 30 years, we, the festival team, would like to remember our spirit we started with, and take another new step forward for the development of animation and the art field in general.

Regarding the competition of HIROSHIMA 2016, it is now available for you to download our new regulations, entry form and shipping label from our official website.
The detailed information about the online entry form will be uploaded on our website by around the middle of January, 2016.

The entry period is from February 1st to April 1st, 2016.
We are very much looking forward to your inspiring entries.

And, I truly hope that you will join our festival next August to enhance cross-cultural exchange through animation art, and also, to take advantage of this opportunity for the promotion of your works and projects as well as for international information exchanges.

Looking forward to your entries to HIROSHIMA 2016, and hope to welcome you in Hiroshima in August 2016!!!

Sincerely yours,

Sayoko Kinoshita
